2012 Nominating Committee Appointments
Notice of Annual Meeting:
Pursuant to Article X of the Bylaws, Northern New Jersey Region (NNJR) Porsche Club of America, President Craig Mahon, with the approval of the Board of Governors, has asked the following members to serve on the 2012 Nominating Committee. All of these members have agreed to serve.

The Nominating Committee is charged with preparing a slate of candidates for NNJR’s Officers and Governors for the year 2013. Any NNJR member wishing to be considered by the Nominating Committee as a candidate for an elected office must make his or her wishes known to the Nominating Committee. Please consider that Article X of the Bylaws requires the Nominating Committee to post its slate of Nominees on our web site (http://www.nnjr-pca.com/index.php) during the first week of August; the list will also be published in the September and October issues of Porscheforus. The September issue has an August 1 publishing cutoff date.
Article X of the Bylaws provides a method for a region member to have his or her name placed on the ballot for any elected regional office by submitting a written notice and a supporting Petition. The Petition must be signed by twenty-five active or family active NNJR members and submitted to the Nominating Committee no later than September 1, 2012. The names of any such individuals and the offices to which they have been nominated by Petition will be published in the October issue of Porscheforus.
Pursuant to Article X of the Bylaws, election of Officers and Governors shall occur at the Region’s Annual Meeting. Voting will be by written ballot if there is more than one candidate for an office. No write-in votes will be allowed. Election of officers will be conducted by an Election Committee appointed by the President and approved by the Board of Governors. If there is more than one candidate for an office, a voting member may obtain an Absentee ballot by written request to the Chairperson of the Election Committee by either letter or email at least fourteen (14) days before the day of the election. Any such Absentee ballot must be received by the Chairperson of the Election Committee by noon on the day of the election. All members are urged to review Article X of the Bylaws to assure a complete understanding of the election process, including the use of an Absentee ballot. The Bylaws are available on the NNJR website under “About NNJR.”
Notice of Annual Meeting: Elections of Officers and Governors shall occur at the Annual Meeting, scheduled for Wednesday, November 14, 2012. Any potential agenda items proposed for the Annual Meeting, in addition to the Elections, must be submitted to the Board of Governors in sufficient time before September 1 to allow Board consideration of proposed agenda items to be published in the October issue of Porscheforus.
