Autocross Season Opener
Pre-event registration
This event continues NNJR-PCA’s new format. Everyone has asked “how can i get more runs / driving time?”. The only feasible answer is to have fewer participants, and correspondingly charge a bit more. So we are placing a limit on registrations (max = 70), and expect to give everyone significantly more time on the track – we estimate 8-11 runs each. (This will vary based on the weather, timing issues, worker promptness, etc..)
Note: we are also considering a 3-heat format similar to SCCA’s in which you drive one heat, work one heat and have off one heat (lunch, spectating…)
Autocross is also a great venue to learn how to drive your car and learn – car control, proper braking techniques, how to calculate the proper line, and how your car handles at the limit (or beyond), all in a safe environment. We will have instructors available to coach you. (Be sure to talk to your instructor about what you want to learn.)
It’s also a great & FUN way to learn your car’s true potential, and have a fun day with your friends – even if you are not a “competitive” autocrosser.
But don’t be surprised if the friendly competition grows on you 🙂
Our events are open to non-PCA members and non-Porsche cars, though we reserve the right to limit registration when attendance approaches 70.
Fees are $70 for PCA Members or $75 for non-PCA members, if you register and pay online. On-site registration and payment carries a $10 surcharge. If you do register on-site know your class and have exact cash or check! We will not have change.
Please see nnjr-pca Website (link below) for Car Classification Details
If you do not want to deal with the complexities of classing your car, simply select “FUN” – you will still receive your times, but you will not be competing with others in a class.
